It’s been a pleasure learning how to publish a blog and share with readers about myself. I am a wife since 1989 to the handsome guy in the picture with me. We grew up in Illinois and have become hard-core Texans since 1993. I even graduated the University of Texas in 1998, when I was 30, with a BS in Child Development and Family Relationships as a Longhorn from the University of Texas in Austin.
After struggling with infertility and trying IVF, we adopted our precious daughter, Emily, who is now 15 over Christmas in 2000. She is a talented and beautiful artist and musician.
The most important thing to me is my faith. I have a great personal relationship with God and the power of the Holy Spirit lives inside me. I have the spiritual gift of encouragement and my love language is acts of service.
I serve as my church’s Women’s Ministry Assistant on a volunteer basis and have taken most of the women’s studies in the past 5 years and for many years before that. I’m thankful for the current women theologians and Bible study authors who have challenged me to grow in my wisdom and humility.
I’m dabbling in the biz of essential oils and love learning how to use them for health and cleaning, and even cooking. I love their natural asset to my wellness and how they have zero side effects.
I’m currently on a weight loss journey and am healing from food addiction. I’m also using oils to help with that and deal with the inability to own and have my own feelings. I’m able to use my background in development psychology and my collection of Young Living oils to experiment on myself.
I’d love for you to follow my blog and friend me on my facebook page!
